Le Gourmand Patissier” is a Piedmontese confectionery company located amidst the gentle hills of the Langa. Specialized in oven-baked flour confectionery made of very fine puff pastry, the impeccable quality of their products reflects the many years of experience gained by the company’s founder, Ezio Cirio. After starting out as a pastry-chef in the town of Alba, he has now been working with success in the field of confectionery for more than thirty years. Today he is supported by his three children, who are carrying forward their father’s project by constantly following the two guidelines which have always distinguished “Le Gourmand Patissier” over the years: a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation in the making of their products, and painstaking attention to quality. These ambitious targets have been achieved by selecting only the finest ingredients available on the market, and implementing highly sophisticated technological puff pastry-specific solutions which are designed in-house to keep faith with the cardinal principle of a craft-baked product. The company buildings extend over an area of more than 4000 m². Attentive, expert staff work in functional, bright surroundings to guarantee constant monitoring during all the stages of the production cycle: batching of the ingredients, mixing, lamination and product forming, baking, packaging, and finally storage of the finished product in the shipping warehouse. Just-in-time processing techniques backed by a high degree of automation ensure an extremely flexible, dynamic production which - with a daily output capacity of more than 7 tons of finished product - can be rapidly adapted to the needs of an ever-changing market. This organisational structure, combined with constant monitoring by the company of its distribution network, represents a guarantee that the products will reach the end consumer in perfect condition, with the same freshness, flavour and fragrance they had when they were taken out of the oven.
